Educated as an Agricultural Economist, Jamie ran an international export business supplying fresh native flowers globally for 20 years. His company supplied the winners bouquets to the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 and continued in the industry in various forms for the years to follow.
Throughout his years as a business owner and as an avid travel for pleasure with his family, he travelled extensively nationally and internationally as he developed his markets a lifelong relationships.
As a global traveller Jamie developed a keen sense of what he enjoyed most from those experiences. “It was not the shot of the Eifel Tower I spoke of on a return from a trip to Paris published here, for example but more about the people I met, where they took me and the personalised experiences that made the trip memorable.”
After selling his business his focus turned to developing a lifestyle business that reflected his personality and life skills. This combined with his business skills saw the start of Local Eyes Sydney
Jamie was born and bred in Sydney. He has a great love of Australia, its magnificent landscapes and of his home city Sydney. With his wife Alex they have developed a business where the key concept of a great day in Sydney is an authentic local experience where there is more conversation about life as a Sydneysider than about a shot of the Opera House……even though you will get that as well.
